Ihumatao

We have been learning about Ihumatao and the land issue. We had to choose a side: Maori or Settlers and write how it would of been at the time Here is mine.

“Not my Problem get off my land” I roared!

I stood staring at them. I could feel my body shake, I was proud. 

Ha ha get lost I thought. 

I scanned around slowly. I could see the native poeple packing their belongings. 

I could hear Maori making a plan. 

I could smell the soldiers wet horses.
